Hi! We are Norm and Shirley Daniel. We are part of California Doodle Dogs along with our daughter
Kim. We live on 2 ½ acres in Bakersfield, California. It was a dream of ours when we were working
to someday have some property so that we could have animals. Well, our dream came true in 1999.
We had a home built and then set out to make it what we wanted. We now have horses, Boer goats,
chickens, cats and our dogs.
Spencer, our Miniature Poodle, born on 8/16/2005, has been tested for OFA and was declared good
to go. He is our joy and entertainment. Dolly is so beautiful. She is a Chocolate Labrador with
gorgeous brown eyes. She loves to be loved and run with KC in the goat pastures. This leads me to
KC. She was a Christmas present from our two daughters. She is a white Great Pyrenees. KC
cannot get enough love, but she does think that her job is to protect the goats from Dolly. Our new
addition is Simon. He is a white Toy Poodle. Now if we thought Spencer was fun, you should see
the two together, wow. They are the best of friends. We are crazy about each and every one of our
critters.
We have two daughters and one son. They all live within one hour’s drive from us so we get to see
them and our eight grandchildren often. All of our grandchildren really like the critters and the critters
love to play with them too. Please check back from time to time to see how our family has grown.
I am Kim Espera. I am the oldest of my siblings and I live just down the road from my parents. I am
also the mother of five of my parent’s eight grandchildren.
It was my younger sister that actually started out raising Labradoodles and Goldendoodles. I
actually acquired my Golden Labrador, Sheba, from her.
After seeing what a Labradoodle and Goldendoodle puppy looked like, we decided to get “into” the
business ourselves.
We love animals and as a parent {and grandparents} of several 4H members we have helped to
raise our “Fair” share of animals.
We began raising registered Boer Goats in 2002 and have been showing them at the California
Jackpot shows for the past couple of years. Other animals that make up our current “menagerie”
include; chickens, turkeys, ducks, cats, Boer goats, and the occasional steer and/or hog {check out
our freezers}.
We could not be more excited about this opportunity to raise doodle dogs. We know that they are
going to be great!
